Windows 10 will end support in October 2025, leaving many computers vulnerable to security threats. Microsoft, for the first time, will offer extended security updates (ESUs) to home users. Enterprise/business users of Windows 7 were eligible to purchase ESUs for up to three years, but home users were not eligible. Home users will be able to purchase 1 year of extended support for Windows 10 for $30. Business users will get up to three years of support, at a much higher cost. I suspect many could sign onto this, but let's not forget why we are here to begin with. Many are sticking with Windows 10 simply because their machines don't meet the inflated system requirements for Windows 11. What may happen with these systems is come time for Windows 1 support to end, tech savvy users will probably bypass these insane requirements, and force Windows 11 onto their otherwise perfectly fine systems. Let's face it, you just need a computer with an Intel Core i3/i5/i7 or equivalent CPU or AMD Bulldozer or equivalent CPU supporting SSE 4.2 and popcnt instructions, to actually run Windows 11 24H2. That's 2009/2011 era hardware. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you know that 91% of this channel's watch time is from viewers who are not subscribed?
